Its name means "Large island". This island is the most extensive of malagasy coasts, with 315 Km2 (30 Km long for 19 Km wide). It is also called the perfume island, on account of Ylang Ylang production, flower of wich the essence for perfumes is extracted.

At one hour by plane from the capital Antananarivo and 15 Kilometers away from the North-West coast of Madagascar, the island of Nosy-Be is a wonder that nature put down on the Indian Ocean, in the Mozambic canal. It is surrounded with several small islands.

Mozambic canal's hot waters and tropical climat that rule seasons, make Nosy Be an island with exceptional wildlife and flora.

Mount Passot, an altitude of 315 meters, is the highest point of the island, offering an incomparable panorama.

Nosy Be is a beautiful bathing site, with villages wich have kept their style, and with sumptous beaches of white sand, and clear waters.

Very beautiful sea with strings of coral high seabeds, barrier against industrial fishing with net. Seafalls are lived-in and visited by all the ocean fishes.

Ambatoloaka (pronounce Ambatoolook), takes place 15 Km away towards the north of Hellville (here in aerial view). This is the nearest village to the club :just some minutes walk, whether by the road, or whether by the beach.

Many heavenly islets may be visited by fishermen or simply by accompanists. Nosy Komba, beyond doubt, is worth the trip, with its remarkable beaches, its lemurs, its talented embroiderers, its moutain reaching more than 600 meters where a small torrent is running from.
